I installed a new hard disk. Installed WIN XP PRO SP/1 and all DELL drivers - everything works fine.
I performed all WIN XP updates - everything works fine.
I install MS OFFICE 2003 - everything works fine.
I install all MS OFFICE 2003 updates - everything works fine
I install Norton Anti-Virus 2004 - attempt to check updates on NAV - application startup screen runs - then closes. Repeated attempts, no good. I troubleshoot from Symantec web site. It has me checking various things like - MSCONFIG - REGEDIT - etc.
One problem, now when I open these system dialogs, they stay open about 3-4 secs and close too!
I uninstall NAV 2004 - still same problem.
I uninstall Office 2003 - still same problem.
Windows appears to be working fine except for this issue which prevents me from working on the configuration and troubleshooting the original problem.
