"detecting array" problem

I am having a problem with my rig that I can't fix. I have the evga 133-k8-nf41-ax sli motherboard. athlon 64 4000 san diego. Computer posts and boots but instead of going to windows I get a message that states "detecting array" and sticks there. I am able to access the bios after a reboot and made sure that the raid setting was disabled. The motherboard sees the sata drive, a wd 160gb by the way. It is the only drive I have. I don't have anything on ide 1 and have my opticals on ide 2. I tried plugging the drive into sata ports 2,3 and 4 with the same result. Computer was working fine this morning, but this afternoon, kaput......any ideas?
