Hey guys, I just finished my first PC build and I am having problems since the first time I started it up.

Problem:
I press the power button both on the case or on the motherboard itself and it turns on. The hard drive light does not come on and the computer will not boot up. I hear, see, and feel all of the fans spinning and it seems like everything is on. My screen just says no signal and I get dr codes on the motherboard that are different every time.
Most of the time I get 00 (Please check if the CPU is installed correctly and then clear CMOS). I then power down and unplug the power and wait, then try powering up. I keep trying until it will finally boot up. It will freeze within a few minutes and I have to start the process all over again. Only three times in the past week has it been able to stay on for about 8 hours which I will power down for the night. Also sometimes I press the power button and after a few seconds, everything shuts off and restarts only to give the dr codes.

error codes that I have seen:
00, 92, 99, 69, 62, A9, 4F, and I think 6A or 9A.

Things that I have tried:
I have taken everything out of the case and put it all back in to make sure that it was all put together correctly. I even checked the CPU and applied fresh thermal paste. I moved the video card into another slot and the same thing happened. I moved the RAM sticks from A1, B1 to A2, B2.

Since anything could be causing the not booting up and freezing I don't know what the issue is. I believe it could either be: the motherboard since it gives me different errors and sometimes shuts off on its own, processor since the motherboard gives me the 00 error, or the power supply because the computer sometimes shuts off.

I was told to check the temperatures of everything to see if it was overheating. BIOS shows the CPU and MB at about 30 degrees Celsius and the highest that I have seen it at was only 41 degrees Celsius. I downloaded Sisoft Sandra lite to monitor the temps while on the desktop. Again the CPU and MB temps are good but this software shows the MCH/Motherboard 2 at 192 degrees Celsius, which I do not believe are correct since that is extremely hot and that temperature is constantly at that value and never changes. Not sure where the MCH is on the board but with that kind of heat, I should be able to feel it while hovering my hand over the board but did not feel any heat.

Specs:
MB- ASrock z77 extreme 4
CPU- Intel i5-3350p processor (not overclocking)
GPU- Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 1gb oc 256bit GDDR5
RAM- G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
PSU- Antec Neo Power 500 500W ATX12V
Case- Lian Li PC-9F

Sorry if this is unclear, I am just so frustrated and trying to remember to include everything.
Any suggestions that I can try or if maybe I received a defective part?

I'm noticing that your board supports 2 steppings of your CPU, N0 and E1 with bios v2.00+

I'm also noticing you didn't mentioned anything about your bios version. Is it up-to-date?

If it is, then then you will need to test out the individual components. Do you have a spare S1155 board? If not, perhaps a friend who does?

Definitely a hardware issue, that's for sure.

Also, this is where your ICH(MCH) is located.

I forgot to mention that my knowledge of computers and terminology is that of a beginner, I don't know what the steppings mean.

I am pretty sure that one of the times that it booted up and I got into BIOS, it got updated. I will check next time I can get into BIOS.

No I don't have another board, so I'll have to see if anyone that I know does.

Ahh so that's what I was looking for? In the manual it said that was just a chipset.
 
You can see your bios version under the 'Main" tab, first line down. Check out the pic here.

Now, i got steppings and revisions mixed up. Those are revisions of your 3350P, not steppings. Identifying your actual chip revision can be done in CPUZ (pic).

Now, if your CPU is indeed compatible...then you're back to isolating individual components through testing.

About the MCH, it is a chipset...but Intel calls it the ICH (i/o controller hub) because it is essentially a combined Northbridge / Southbridge chipset minus the IMC (integrated memory controller) which is on your CPU. Back in the day, these use to all be seperate things, but smart people figured out you could decouple the IMC and consolidate the NB/SB chipsets. Thanks AMD! ;)

When you say compatible, you mean the recommended pairing of the two parts right? Because if they weren't compatible at all then it shouldn't be able to work at all, and I am currently on it before it will freeze on me.
 
Were are you seeing "L1"? Ext. Model space?

A screencap of your cpuz would be great.

The reason for my persistence is bc Intel lists 3 different revisions of the 3350P, and your board only officially supports 2 of them. In other words, we need to confirm that your chip is either E1 or N0 rev so as to rule out the current difficulties as not being related to any potential compatability issues.

In the same spot as the screenshot you posted above, it had E1/L1 in that box.
 
Real weird.

I'm assuming that you're using the latest cpuz version, but I cannot find a single 3350P cpuz screencap with the Rev box indicating E1/L1.

May be on to something here, because your board lists comparability with just the E1 and N0 Revisions...

Just an update, It was working all day today and when I went to my class this evening, I came home to it off. Not sure if that helps any but just thought I would throw that in there.
