Dell warranties

I figured you guys would probably know this better than the BS run around I got from a dell chat employee who didn't understand basic english even..

I've seen U2711s at microcenter and was going to debate picking one up because they have a reasonable price on them (and I'm screwed for tax either way because I live in Texas).. but the AG coating was .... undesirable to say the least.

Anyway, I noticed Newegg carries the u3011 now (which I think I'd be happy with if I can tolerate the input lag... I'm hoping its not more than my LG 245BN..)

But I'm curious if Dell will handle the monitors warranty the same as though it was purchased directly through them? As its quite a bit cheaper on Newegg..

It's right there at the bottom of Newegg's Details tab on http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260028

It says Parts & Labour: 3 years limited. That's same as when purchased from Dell.
