Dell Return Policy - 2007 Inquiry

Hey Guys,
I was considering getting a 2007fpw the next time the price drops below 400, but was worried about banding / dead pixel issues. I was just wondering if the 21 day no hassle return policy that they have for other products applies. TIA.
 
I believe it does still apply. I have read many posts about people who have returned their 2007 monitors due to dead pixils, backlight problems etc.

I am sure someone here will verify this.
 
Yes, it does. You can probably get it below $400 today if you give them a call and haggle with them as well.
 
I know, the Dell 2007fpw is quite a beauty, but if you are looking for something that is not quite as attractive, yet better in performance and quality, there are some good choices out there for less of a hit against your wallet:

I wouldn't go with the Dell until they come out with a newer model that doesn't disable the chip in order to remove the well-documented banding issue. That is NOT a fix. And to ad insult to injury, it only 'fixes' the problem in desktop mode.
