I have a work laptop Dell E6400 (C2D T9600, 4gb ram, samsung 840 non pro either 250 or 256 i forgot).

My job requires to use an online server based application. I noticed when ever I have more than one firefox window the systems memory is bogged down. My laptop is docked so i decided to experiment:

(will post results later)

Anyways i decided to remove the battery and run the laptop docked and everything seems to be working with optimal performance. VS running with the laptop battery attached and docked and the system bogging down.

Does anyone think the heat from the battery along with memory and cpu is whats causing the bogginess. I can;t get a new laptop, and I actually dont want to yet, this e6400 has been running like a champ. Probably because of the ssd! lol

Okay so what kind of laptop doesn't really matter. Firefox uses a lot of memory that's true. But what do u mean bogs down. What does your memory usage say? If it ain't full its probably thermal throttlimg .
