I was thinking about buying this LCD from Dell but am scared since I h ave walked through the huge lemon thread here in the forums about horrible quality. However some say that the LCD is great.

I have a Dell FTP1800 and is great but wanted to upgrade...

I am just scared I will get stuck with one of the bad ones. I am sure not all of them are bad but what happens if mine is? Do they have a refund policy oif they replace 3 LCD's for the same issue, I get a full refund of something fair of that nature?

Just want to shop smart and asking for your help... ;)

Try, www.dell.com, pick up a phone and call. The only way to get a true answer is to deal with the company from whom your thinking of buying a product. ;)

I don't recall anyone having a problem getting anything replaced, or even a refund. The point of those two threads was why are there so many bad ones in the first place.

Dell will basically keep throwing LCD's at you until you get one that is up to your standards.

Luckily when I ordered the 2001FP, I got a perfect display on the first attempt :D

I too got a perfect display on attempt number one. It has/had one dead pixel on it but I can't see it in regular use, only when I'm about 2 inches away from the screen.
