I got my Dell E207wfp yesterday but had some time to evaluate it tonight. It does have one stuck pixel which is on the far right and is hardly noticible but I'm pretty disappointed with the backlight bleed, here's a shot of it with normal exposure

and one that's over exposed, not sure whats up with that discoloration on the left and right sides of it either, doesn't look too good though.

for the hell of it I took some extreme closeups to show you the actual pixels

and here it is next to my 2405, which is not down as low as it will go, when the 2405 is set to it's lowest point the bottom of both bezels almost match, the 207 is about half an inch lower

I will admit that it is fast, hl2, prey, q3, etc all had no noticable ghosting, but the colors do seem somewhat dull compared to the 2405 and the backlight bleed IS noticable during normal usage, such as during a loading screen in one of the games which had a dark background. I also saw no noticable banding and looked at several gradients I made in photoshop. The height adjustment is also a problem for me, right now I'm looking down at the thing, and if I hunch down to view it dead center there are changes in colors/brightness so I must not be viewing it at an ideal angle. So I might return it due to the problems that it has, I'm not sure yet, but I'd definately recommend it for gamers on a very tight budget who want something fast.

wow. that first pic i thought was my 225bw. how frustrating is this? if there was no bleed the screens would be soooo nice. especially for the price. why is it so hard to stop the light from bleeding through?

I guess this confirms that the E207FPW is not the little cousin of the 2007FPW but a different species altogether..

What panel is used in the E207FPW ?

sorry I don't know.. but I've already returned it, I'd rather spend the extra money and get a quality display for gaming.. the e207 seems to be perfect for office workers or gamers on a very tight budget

Its a TN, and almost every TN I've seen has that same kind of backlight bleed.

Wasn't that the point of this LCD? If it was as good as the 2007 it sure wouldn't be a good idea on Dells part.
