Any feedback on the Dell E196FP LCD ?

It has the following:
1280x1024 pixels resolution
Antiglare with Hard-coating 3H
8 ms response time
500:1 contrast ratio

Specifically, I'd like to know if there's a noticeable difference in ghosting between the E196FP and the fastest LCD currently on the market. Also, the E196FP doesn't support DVI. Would an analog connection really diminish its display capability?

Lastly, I'm kind of poor at the moment and would like to know if there's any possibility of salvaging my current crt monitor so that I don't have to buy an LCD. My crt is 6 yrs old and is an NEC AccuSync 90. Since ~2 yrs ago, I've been noticing a fuzzy display. It was bothering and indicated a time for an upgrade but I still felt it was tolerable. But since ~2 months ago, the display has been turning somewhat "yellow." I know this is a stupid question but, by any chance, are there anything here that I can adjust to improve the quality of my monitor's display and keep it to the level where I can tolerate it for about 1-2 more years?
