I have a Dell Optiplex GX620. I want to wipe the hard drive clean and start over again. I keep getting a prompt for a password. It is a previously owned computer. I don't know the password and I understand that there is a module I can pull from the motherboard. Does anyone know EXACTLY where it is located. The Dell website specs for the location are too vague.
 
There should be a jumper someone on the motherboard. Usually near the little battery. Usually labeled CMOS. If you can't find it. with it unplugged (not plugged into AC - wall), pull out the battery on the motherboard, and press the power button to discharge any charges, put back battery, plug in and you should be good to go.
