I have 2 Dell 3007WFP-HC monitors, and I would like some help.

I've been reading a lot about how to calibrate the screens, and I've come up with some articles saying the there was a Hidden Service Menu available for the 3007.

First of all, is that thrue ? Second of all, How do I make it appear ?

I've read those 2 possibilities :

The general procedure for monitors manufactured in 2005 or earlier is as follows [e.g. 2005FPW]:

Press and hold the "AUTO" & "+" button (some models use "ENTER" and "+" button), then power on the monitor.
Once the monitor is on, press the "MENU" button to open the osd menu.
Now, in the osd menu, go to "factory reset" and you can see at the bottom of menu have an extra menu item named "FACTORY".
Go to that "FACTORY" selection and press the "ENTER" button.
You are now in the Dell service menu.

The general procedure for monitors manufactured after 2005 is as follows [e.g. 2007FPW]:

Press and hold the "AUTO" & "+" button (some models use "ENTER" and "+" button), then power on the monitor. Keep holding all three buttons until the monitor is fully on.
After the monitor is on, release the buttons and press the "-" button.
The factory service menu should appear.

My other question is. What is the AUTO and MENU button and the + and - button as well ? Are the + and - on the keyboard or screen ? If on keyboard, the ones on top of the enter button or the ones near the numeric keyboard.

THANKS again for all the help.

And if it doesn't work, what would you suggest for calibrating it?

Your 30 monitor comes with a User Manual CD. Slip it in the DVD or CD drive and read through it for the buttons on front. As far as calibrating, I have not done so with mine and you will have to wait for others in the know to assist further....

Installing the Utility Tool (Microsoft Windows® Operation Systems)
The setup.exe application tool launcher provided in the CD allows you to the install utility tool on the computer. This feature queries the monitor for the brightness parameter and displays the adjustment range bar on the screen.

1. Insert the CD into the CD drive.
2. Open the Drivers folder and double-click setup.exe.
NOTE: Ensure that the USB cable is connected between the monitor and the computer.
3. The install Shield wizard will launch the application tool. Click Next to countinue.
4. Select Accept the license agreement and click Next.
5. Click Install to complete the installation. After the installation is complete, click Finish.

You are now ready to view adjustment range bar while adjusting the brightness on the monitor.

Touch lightly - or + to increase or decrease the brightness of the screen. Do not push on the + or - sign.
Use these buttons to decrease/increase the brightness ranges.

I have 2 of the 3007WFP-HCs too and have never heard of anyone getting into a service menu.

I calibrated mine with the Spyder 3 and then fine tuned the saturation with the ATI control panel. If you dont have the ATI control panel then getting rid of the color oversaturation will be difficult. I switched from Nvidia partly because of this problem since it does not have the controls needed to adjust this monitor the right way.

I've been reading a lot about how to calibrate the screens, and I've come up with some articles saying the there was a Hidden Service Menu available for the 3007.

I read a lot about monitors and I had a 3007-hc. No service menu that I am aware of. I have owned 5 LCDs monitors and a LCD TV. I have entered the service menu on all of them except the 3007-hc which I don't believe has one.

This class of monitors are somewhat unique in that they are the closest thing you can get to a naked panel wired to the graphics card.
