Dell 2407WFP-HC available in Hong Kong

I'm very tempted by this monitor. If this performs exactly like the 3007WFP-HC (but in 24 inch form), I think I'm going to buy it.

the 30inch is an IPS panel, while the 2407 never was. i don't think this will get an IPS panel, therefore they wouldn't perform the same

I thought Wide Cold-Cathode Fluorescent Lighting (W-CCFL) was for IPS panels? Or is W-CCFL panel independent? I know all previous 2407 used Samsung panels, but I just assumed Dell would be switching over to a new panel with their new 2407WFP-HC (they've done it before).

Dell this morning surprised the industry by launching one of its most advanced displays first in Japan. The 24-inch 2407WFP-HC uses the combination of an improved cold-cathode fluorescent backlight and an S-PVA panel to deliver 92 percent of the NTSC color gamut, creating a far better fit for artists and video editors who need color accuracy in a smaller size than the 3007WFP-HC released late last year, according to Dell. The Texas-based PC maker also claims a 1,000:1 static contrast ratio and 400cd/m2 brightness for the screen.

Surprised? Folks have been talking about this happening for at least a month or two. It was just a mater of time. Now did they fix the banding issues? That would be real news.:p

Silly Chinese currencies.

Interesting news but what's the difference. It's probably another lie.

we check revised pricing in australia on fridays, as the special prices normally finish thursday night. so i will be keen to see what happens. imho though i would be happier with two 20inchers though.
