got the purdy lcd, and when i was installing the panel onto its stand, the height of the stand dropped all the way down. i'd like to raise it again, and the "instructions" say to push the button on the back of the stand at the bottom and lift. i cannot depress that button! i'm afraid of putting any lifting force on the bottom of the panel, and i can't get any good grip on the hinge part of the base. help!
 
If its anything like my 2405, you press down on the stand until you can press the button in with your finger and then you start to slowly take the downward pressure off, controlling the rise of the spring loaded raising mechanism so as your panel doesn't jerk up to its full extension. Release the button at the height you want the panel to stay.......IIRC :)
