dell 2001fp problems?

whenever I watch movies like on dvds... and etc... it is no longer smooth like on my crt sony tritrion... and the pictures seems to be "breaking up" and blurry...
is this normal on lcd?? sorry.. this is my first lcd... :)
 
i have a 2001fp and it plays video perfectly smooth.

osd = on screen display. its the little menu thing that pops up when u hit the menu buttons on the display. the timer is how long it stays open after having hit any buttons.
 
what kind of setting do you run on ur 2001fp??
