I have an older Dell 15" LCD monitor (at work so don't have exact model number) that has an odd problem .. the monitor will be fine for awhile gaming or surfing the net or whatever ..then it will all of sudden start blinking on and off constantly. You can't turn the monitor off via the power button when this occurs, nor does unplugging the power chord and then back in fix it ..
..what does fix it is slapping the side of the monitor, then it goes back to normal and I can do whatever I want until it goes goofy again. So it just a loose wire somewhere inside or something? I have briefly looked at the monitor to see how it comes apart, but I don't see any screws to undo so am guessing that the thing just snaps together then ...?
Anybody else ever experience this kind of a problem before with an LCD monitor ..and were you able to fix it easily?
