Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm using a 120gig Maxtor HD in a firewire enclosure, this problem always occurs when I try to transfer large files (gig or so). After doing some searching, it seems to be a very common problem with no definite solution...any ideas?
well as you likely already know in IDE that is often a cable issue
and would assume the signal is screwed ATA is a very robust protocol
but not that robust (and it is still using ATA at the HDD only its being translated)
is the drive listed as UDMA in the device manager?
(excuse me Ive never run a firewire and Im not sure where or how you check that)
