Do video files not defragment? After defragmentation of my storage drive almost all of my video files did not defragment.
Thanks for any help
 
What are you using to defragment the drive? How big and how full is the drive?
 
Some defrag algorithms don't defrag large chunks because it may not be worth it. When a 500mb file is split into 2 pieces, there is almost no performance loss. However, if it's split into 1000 pieces, then there will be performance loss.

I'm using the Windows defragment tool. It is a 160GB drive with 16% space left.

That's getting to be a little bit on the full side for the built-in tool to handle defragmenting large files, if it would even think it necessary (as has been said, if they're not that defragmented, it might not even bother). You can try a free trial of PerfectDisk or Diskeeper to see if that works better for you than the built-in tool.
 
A 160g drive with only 16% available is not going to defrag with the windows tool. There isn't enough free space.
 
Well technically there's enough space for it to work, but it won't very well. I just bought v8 of Perfect Disk. A nice upgrade from v7. It allows you to defrag single files. Good program. 30-day demo at raxco.com.

It says it requires 15% of space to run, I deleted some stuff to get it to 16%

oh, it will run with less than 15%, believe me. it will just take its sweet time to do so ;)
