Alright, I have my 74GB Raptor partitioned into an 8 GB for windows / drivers and the rest is on another partition for games / progs. Anyhow, no matter how many times I defrag the 8 GB drive C:/, everytime defragment analyzes the drive it still says it should be defragged. Anyone else run into this problem and know of a fix?
 
quit using the ass defragger that comes with windows and use a third party solution such as O&o defragger or perfectdisk.
 
I'm assuming you're using WinXP. The problem might be that your page files are fragged up. And since the XP defrag program won't touch the page files, it'll report your drive still fragged up. If after you defrag, the illustration of your drive is mostly most (and a bit of green) that means the data that can be defragged, is.

To defrag your page files. Right click 'my computer' > properties > advanced tab > performance settings > advanced tab > click 'change' under virtual memory.

Now select the next partition after the one w/ windows on it. Click 'system managed size', then 'set'. Now select the partition w/ windows on it (the fragged up one), and click 'no paging file' (remember the settings you had before you change anything to you can restore them later) and then 'set'. Reboot.

After you're back up, go into the virtual memory settings again, and restore the paging settings you had for the partition w/ windows on it and any other drives.
Analyze the drive w/ XP defragger to see if that did it.
