Defective pump?

Hey guys, I'm putting together my first system in like 10 years and it's my first time using an AIO water cooler. I chose the NZXT Kraken X62. I bought the cooler like 3 days ago and used it just minimally since.

Things were working just fine and all of a sudden, my system crashes at startup, and eventually a loud sound started developing.

It seems like my pump died already, but I'm fairly surprised given it's brand new.

I'm attaching a video demonstrating what's happening, and a bios pic showing crazy temps.

Could it be anything else other than a defect pump? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

.

Loud noises coming from the pump are definitely an indication that it is going tits-up. There are several things that can cause it, but the one that comes to mind is lw coolant level in the system (it happens even in AIO systems - a lot).
Depending on its age you may be able to RMA the cooler to NZXT. After all they aren't cheap.
