I was just wondering if anyone here is using a dedicated power supply for their water cooling pump? I think I'm going to have to with my setup. I have a Prescott 3.0 running at 3.75, P4C800-E Deluxe (with droop mod), 1GB RAM, one 10k RPM and two 7.2k RPM SATA drives, two optical drives, floppy, dual CCL tubes, BFG 6800GT, and three LED fans. Plus I have the MCP650 pump, and two 120mm rad fans. I started out with an Antec Neo 480, and running at 3.75 it would reset itself under heavy load (SETI@home and DVD Architect render, simultaneously). So I put the pump and rad fans on a separate little 200W PSU, and it still reset itself. Then I unplugged the LED fans and CCL from the main power supply, and it appears to be stable at 3.75. So, I've now upgraded the 480W to a TruePower 550, and still have the pump and rad fans on the separate PSU, and I'm in the process of testing.
I used to let my PC run 24x7, but I think now I'll be shutting it down at night to save on the electric bill.
