Im planning on modding a Small 4 port hub into my computer. i want to attach it to the inside of my case panel. i want to mount it on standoffs but am worried about the studs sticking out of my case side. i was wondering if anyone knew oa a place that sold decorative nut covers or chrome/aluminum domed capped nuts for a 6/32 nut. i can find them for threads as small as 1/4 but cant seem to find them any smaller.

Sorry bro I about laughed my butt off at the title......
I read it thinking ... "So he modded his cup? What does the coach think? And what on earth is this forum coming to?"

I never even thought of that... guess i should choose my words more wisely next time. Thx for the site though, it had exactly what i wanted. I knew they were acorn nuts, i just didnt want to call them acorn nuts because i thought people would immediately think about the acorn nuts that actually look like acorns with the more pointed top as opposed to a domed shape top.

hehe nutcovers, hey anyway if you get it to work out post some pics. Ive been thinking about doing the same and curious to how you worked it out.

well here it is again thx for the info!

You can get the acorn nutd at a hume improvement store (Lowes/Home Depot) for cheap.

LOL, Nut Covers.... just HAD to see what the heck this one was about. At least you know how to get everyone to look...

that was an excellent idea! i was looking into getting a PCI slot 4 port hub. but i have a spare switch laying around. I'll see if it will fit somewhere in my lian li when it gets here today! how did you do the power to the hub?

I read the title and spit coffee on my keyboard at work LOL...

ya someone's about to get the bandhammer for posting that picture.

Nut covers......great description.....

how about just make your own? However, I do have a source for some cool ones, I'll pm you with it :p

I think if I were doing this mod, I'd rather use flat-headed philips bolts on the outside, and nuts on the inside. I'd rather have the entire outside side of the case flush. I'd use rubber washers or grommets on the inside to prevent conductivity.

That said, auto supply stores might have what you want, I think I've seen color anodized nuts like those before.
