Using the stats on the system you see in my sig...

Do I get a Mobile 2600XP and overclock it? Will the MB listed in my sig bring it up to 3200 speeds?

or

Do I just shell out the bucks for 3200XP? Do these overclock well? Can they be unlocked?

or

Is there a compromise? perhaps a slightly cheaper XP3000 333fsb or 400fsb and overclock it to 3200 speeds (or beyond)?

Which of these would be the best idea? I will be getting a new video card (whatever $350 will get me) and I have a currently uninstalled Thermalright SP97 (or SP94-the AMD version) with a Thermaltake 92mm smartfan (nice and quiet) just sitting in a box. (bought it awhile ago and never got the chance to install it because I was on a ship).

I will be getting a gaming laptop as soon as one with a mobile 9800 comes out in something besides Dell (hopefully before I leave on deployment) and then my next system upgrade will be a socket 939 setup sometime next year. I want to squeeze whatever I can out this setup before I give it to my daughter.

mobiles can exceed 3200xp speeds and there also cooler. its also good for stock since they have low voltages. so u get low temps
