Decided on 2nd hdd, which raid setup

So right now i have a Maxtor 80 gig 8mb cache sata drive. Plan on getting another one real soon. what is the best raid setup for this and why.

Depends. Is your data important to you? Would you regret it if the data was lost suddenly? If so, then RAID 1 is the only 2-drive RAID level worth considering. Is your data more or less expendable, but you'd like some extra speed for video editing tasks? RAID 0 would be best. Do you find that neither scenario fits you? Then just keep the drives separate because RAID isn't for everyone.
