Dead power supply?

I'm not sure if this would be more suited for General Hardware, but I think it's related to the power supply. I bought a new case and finally got a chance to transfer everything over yesterday (sig has the parts in question). After it was all said and done, the system no longer turns on. I tried both ways on the power switch thinking maybe I reveresed it, had the mobo on the removeable tray and off the tray outside the case, but nothing happens. I also unplugged everything and all the expansion cards while the mobo was out, also nothing. The last time I tried it without anything plugged in and the expansion cards out, I noticed a high pitched sound come out of the power supply as I unplugged the power from the wall. The unit in question is a Fortron 350w (the blue one with the sleeved cables). Is it possible I shorted something in the power supply? I don't have another power supply to test unless I borrow one from work. I was going to put everything back in the original case but I don't think it'll make a difference. Any ideas?

I don't recall there being a fuse in there? As if luck wasn't bad enough something smoked on my laptop as well.

Try jumping the power supply and see if it turns on, check the forums for the proper pins to jump (you can use a paper clip, its the green line and any black line that you connect, but follow the diagram on the forums).

We use fuses in the UK for every single mains electrical item.
I thought you did too?

Doh, should have known to do that. I jumped the correct wires and it seems to turn on fine. I tried testing the 12v line on one of the molex connectors to see what the output was for S&G's, and got absolutely nothing. I tried a second molex and noticed shortly thereafter that the fan stopped moving. I gave it a few minutes and turned it back on with success. I got 12.73 on the 12v side and 5.08v on the 5v side. That was pretty much the same across the 4 or 5 molex connectors I tried. Maybe there's a bad wire that's shorting out or the 24 to 20 connector to the mobo is trashed? The little power blip aside, it seems everything is ok. Anything I should check on on the mobo? I guess it's back to trying to strip everything to bare bones and go from there.

If you mean fuses at the main panel, everything was fine there. If anything I figured it would have tripped the UPS that it would be plugged into.

Thanks for your help guys!
