dead pixels. a bad thing?

i just got a new lcd, sony sdm-s75ab 17in, and it came with 1 dead pixel, is this reason to send it back?

and how many dead pixel(s) do you have on your lcd?

I depends what color and where on the screen, just 1 I probably wouldn't send it back.

Most if not all manufacturers that make LCD's have a pixel policy, each one is different. So I if I were you, I would check out the Sony's website and see what the pixel policy, i can almost guarentee that it is greater than 3-5 dead pixels before they will even begin the RMA process! If it is only one dead pixel then I wouldn't worry about it, I have one stuck pixel and i hardly ever notice it. GL

WOW what a coincidence lol that is exactly where mine is and the same color...
