I am doing some sleeving and when doing one of the fans I accidentally put the pins back in the wrong order. When I powered up the fan spun for a sec and then died, and no longer works. Any ideas on what can get it going? or is it el toasty

probably fried it :D

depends on what you did though, you may have just reversed polarity, i don tknow how it works with fans, but any other motor i've worked with it just turned the other direction....

The fan generally should have just spun backwards if the polarity was reversed. How many pins were on the fan connector? 2, 3, or 4?
