Looks very nice! But what is the the white stuff in the bottom of the reservoir? You decide to use the pump to make some kind of frozen drink?

Added: Is that some kind of sponge at the bottom?

That looks like the kind of filtering material that comes with submersible pumps, like my eheim 1048.
 
yea, and having a filtering material like that right infront of the inlet is the absolute worst place you could put it :(
