I think it would be nice if owners posted their temps here. Im still trying to determine if these temps are to be expected.

i7 920 @ 3.7ghz w/ 1.18750v
Heatsink - Noctua NH-U12P

Intel Burn Test - 82c, 81c, 78c, 77c
Prime95 - 72c, 72c, 68c, 69c
Gaming (Battlefield Bad Company 2) - 62c, 61c, 62c, 59c
Idle - 47c, 45c, 47c, 44c

5870

Playing game (Battlefield Bad Company 2) - 84c
Idle - 43c

Idle temps are recorded when the system has been idle for a long to make sure load heat doesnt affect idle temps. Load temps are recorded when enough heat has generated inside the case. Using RealTemp for CPU temps and ATI CCC for GPU temps.

Whats your ambient room temp trungerz? Im running at a much lower voltage than you and yet Im pulling such high temps in a 23c room. The Megahalem isnt that much better than a Noctua and Ive resat the heatsink once. Mines a C0 by the way.

And what kind of temps do you get with your 5970? I was thinking of Crossfiring another 5870 but it would seem better to just have one 5970.

Ambient is about 22c.

I have the 5970 at stock settings 725/1000. Temps get up to about 80-81c playing Starcraft ii or Dirt 2 at 2560x1600. Otherwise it sits around 50c.

I have a Noctua P12 (1300rpm) and P14 (1200rpm) exhausting. I have a Scythe SFF21G (1900rpm) pushing on the Mega. I also have a Scythe SFF21F(1600rpm) exhausting on top of the 5970. And then I have a Noctua B9 (1600rpm) in the front pushing air into the 5970.

I had a 920 C0 and I believe those ran a little hotter than the 920 D0 and the 930s correct??
