d3 1600x1200 fps?

do u think i can run d3 at 1600x1200 high? i have;
xp2500(200x11@1.55v), 128mb 6800nu (400/900), 1gb pc3200(200@2-3-3-11@2.7v)
10060 - 3dmark03, 18115 - 3dmark01, 53208 - aquamark3
d3 timedemo (ran "timedemo demo1 1" twice)
67.0, 68.1 - 800x600 high
67.0, 68.3 - 1024x768 high
57.8, 58.8 - 1280x1024 high
62.9, 62.8 - 1024x768 ultra
54.2, 53.7 - 1280x1024 ultra
? ? - 1600x1200 high

If you tested at all other resoutions, why don't you just test at 1600x1200 and find out? Why did you chose not to test it but to give us all your results and ask us if you could run it? That doesn't make much sense.

As for an answer, based on your results otherwise, I personally wouldn't be happy at the fps you're gonna drop down to when you bump up the res to 1600x1200.

I get 70fps on the timedemo at 1600x1200 HQ. Using a 256 meg 6800 gt at 470/1200, I notice slowdowns a little in big fights.

doh i wouldnt have post it if i could run 1600x1200.. i sold 19" crt couple of months ago i have 19" lcd n 17" crt. i was plannin on gettin 17" lcd cos i need 2 monitors on one sys but now im thinkin of gettin 19" crt for d3. i can oc more but the weather is hot n i have stock hsf n aopen hq45 case with no air-flow.

ahhh....

well, your first post did not indicate that you couldn't run it at that res, and I guess I assumed you were capable of running it but didn't. My mistake.

according to tom,
p4 3.2g, 6800u, 6800gt, 6800nu.
72.2, 72, 70 - d3 1024x768 high
68.6, 65.5, 58 - d3 1280x1024 high
60.5, 56.3, 46.7 - d3 1600x1200 high
i should get around 47fps 1600x1200 high if my 6800nu drops 24% like toms.. at least it should be bit faster than 9700 at 1024x768, 40/45fps at high/med.

sounds about right.

my old system (2.6c@3.2ghz, 1gb PC3200, 6800GT@Ultra) got 60 most of the time, 45 when all hell broke loose.


this is at high and Ultra qualities.


Multiplayer, however, gave me 35-45FPS in Ultra, so I've dropped down to high. I get 40-60, depending on if the guy's in the room shooting at me or not.
