I have a Toshiba 32" LCD tv 720p. I'm outputting the onboard vga video of my AMD 780g motherboard (cat 8.12) with some issues. Now this is where it gets tricky.
Natively the display is only intended to accept a 1024x768 60hz input resolution through the vga port. Now I have never accepted this, so I kept trying to find some way to display widescreen. The native res of my monitor is 1366x768. Windows offers 1360x768 and at 85hz the tv actually displays it without overscan! However text is still a little blurry so I used Powerstrip to bump the res up to 1366x768 @ 85hz which looks damn near perfect.
The problem is though that video play back is jerky and stutters at this custom res, but is perfect at the "driver default" 1360.
All and any input is appreciated. Let me know if more info would be helpful.
