I think I'm gonna make a steelpad duplicate out of a piece of aluminum that we have hanging around here (i live on a farm)

anyone have suggestions on designs?
 
dont even think of using an optical as you wont get any tracking, since itll be shiny and opticals hate that

i have a wire brush that im going to use mounted on an electric circular tool

i still dont think thatd be too great with an optical, unless you really scuffed it

at the old sun workstation we have at work, therse an alum pad, but its a ball mouse.
 
well I read a review of those steelpadz things, i cant remember where

they said it was the best mousing surface they had ever used

i would buy a ratpadz to help out in all of the [h]ardness, but i cant order online and id rather not pay money
