Hi there!

Eversince i've used CAT5.x drivers, i've experiencing corruption, tears, artifacts, .etc....

this only happens during cold-boots... and the corruption only happens after the "welcome" screen... usually i need to shutdown the pc and restart it and the problem will go away...

i've tried reinstall the latest version, remove all the older drivers with the uninstaller, increase the vAGP to 1.6V, change the HSF, but nothing solve this problem...

after restart, i've no problems with games such as painkiller : Battle out of hell...

I have this on my work rig using a 6600GT. EVerythign is fine except windows, all the icons are whacked and I get trails and all sorts of crap. In safe mode everything is perfect though..I did a reinstall of all drivers and everything. Bugs the shit out of me.
 
i thought this is suppose to be ATI flavor? anyway...
for your case, there's a solution, one is to completely rrmove the driver, ie. means that when you restart your windows, it'll not be able to recognise the type of card other than standard VGA graphic card.

then reinstall your driver.
