More 360 Vs. PS3:
The fellas at the Tech Zone are comparing the PS3 to the Xbox360 today. I know most of you are thinking the same thing I am since neither console has finalized hardware specs how can you make a comparison? Has anyone actually benchmarked a Cell processor? Run tests on the GPUs of either of these consoles? Played any games? In the end, the comparison doesnt really answer any questions, its more of a comparison of pre-release spec sheets.
The XBOX uses a custom ATI processor with 48 graphics pipelines and the PS2 has a custom NVIDA graphics processor with an estimated 24 pipelines. The numbers are misleading because the PS2 piplines are more powerful than the XBOX pipelines.
Throughout the article the author says PS2 when I am sure he means PS3.

If we know that ATI can do 48 pipes worth of graphics processing power.. then I suppose 32 isn't a big step below that for the desktop. Do we even know that it has 48 pipes? That's kinda crazy. R520 @ 48 pipes anyone? Makes me kinda turned on just thinking about it.
