The first run through of crysis 3 i did on at 2560x1440 on a 27" ips.
i just finished a play through in 3d on My big plasma at 1080 and really enjoyed the experience in 3d. There are the occasional texture or layer that doesn't quite perfectly match up but the depth of field and rich clarity the focus layer brings out was really pleasing. I had tried to force 3d in crysis 2 and it wasn't nearly as nice as this (I have AMD hardware). I wouldn't say it's quite on par with the quality and separation of 3d movies, but it did add much more immersion to the game. I found myself really just in awe in certain scenes like rolling through the tall blowing grasses or serene areas with pools of water and time to sandbox around.
What were your impressions of the 3d implementation in crysis 3? How would you compare it to other games? Did you prefer it over 2d?
