I have read a fair amount about the issue, but still have a couple unanswered questions!

1. Can Crossfire be used with two monitors? Gaming on one and using the other for browsing/IM's/etc. Can windows still be dragged across like when using a single GPU?

2. I read a review showing two 3850 256mb in CF on a 16x/4x board giving comparable performance to a 8800GTX, could this be correct?

3. When combining two 256mb cards in CF, you still have 256mb of video memory right? not 512mb?

4. If you combine a 512mb card and a 256mb card in CF, how much video memory do you have?
 
I can answer 1.

With the new 8.1 drivers, my second monitor started working when I am in crossfire.

Technically you've got 512MB. :) You've got 256MB of usable memory. Since your GPUs are taking turns rendering frames, both graphics cards need the same data in their memory.

Again, because they both need the same thing in their memory, you're stuck with the lowest card's capability.
