Crossfire 290x High Definition Audio Bus Code 10 Device Cannot Start

I have a Crossfire 290x setup, and in Device Manager under system devices there are two "High Definition Audio Bus" icons, with one being "Unable to start (Code 10)".

I know these are the GPUs because they have the same PCI Bus locations as the display drivers.

Everything is working fine functionality wise, but it still bothers me. I've tried uninstalling it and restarting but it comes up again as Code 10. I figured others with crossfire setups must have this issue as well but google searches have come up with nothing.

Would welcome your thoughts.

That's odd, have you tried using DDU to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the Cats?

This is normal. In a crossfire setup, the second card shuts down unless it is needed ( even the fans stop spinning ). This is called ULPS.

Windows sees that second audio bus as malfunctioning but it is not.

If you want to get rid of that warning, install MSI afterburner and disable ULPS and reboot. the warning will no longer be there.
