Crosscheck my plan please!!

Alright, Ill be doing my first WC setup soon and i need some opinions from the professionals. =]

I am currently running a XP 2800+ and a FX5500 that i'd like to cool. Ill upgrade the components by summer time, but i wanted to get a nice setup so ill have to at most change blocks for the new system. I did a lot of reading on here and what ive read seems to indicate that the order of components doesnt matter.

I'll be using:
1981 Firebird heater core
1/2 inch tubing
a custom reservoir
eheim 1250
maze4 gpu block
tdx cpu block

and i want the order to be
pump > rad > res > gpu > cpu > pump

please advise me if the above is not reccomended, and possible hints to make my entry to water cooling a bit smoother. thanks in advance guys

Move the res to directly before the pump. Other than that, loop order is insignificant.

if the res is before the pump, the heat will be in the res correct? dont i want the largest body of water to be cool?

Well consider this -

Rad to the blocks will assure that the water is at it's coolest before hitting the hottest componants. I'd rather come from the res to pump, to rad than the blocks then letting it all sit in the res.

The water is not setting anywhere and Res should go to pump even though in a custom setup i don't use a res unless it fits into a case theme.

alright i can do res > pump. and yes the res is for asthetic purposes and case theme. ill be sure to take pics. should be pretty alright
