I am new to water cooling so i am trying to keep from making any mistakes in my purchasing, so could you please tell me if there is anything wrong/known problems/better choices available for any of this stuff.

$35 Frozen CPU Tundra dual 5.25 resevoir
$79 Swiftech MCP600 pump
$67 Black Ice Xtreme 120mm radiator
$53 DangerDen TDX socket A (copper)
$50 PolarFLO Universal VGA Block
$16 Tygon anti-kink 5'
$60 Fluid XP+ (64oz)

the whole system is 1/2"ID 5/8"OD i believe, i was planning on getting the Eheim 1250 but i was not sure if it would work w/ a 1/2" system w/o adapters.

also will this system work w/o any other stuff, like a bleed kit or whatever.

and does anyone know if the PolarFLO block will fit a AIWradeon9800pro, if not which one will? i already know that the maze4 wont fit.

You dont need a bleed kit, especially as you are using a res, which can be used to bleed air out of the system. I dont use either and I get on OK ;)

I think that Eheim does need adaptors but you can get those at loads of places.

I'd suggest making sure you got a nice fan for the rad as well. It might even be worth getting 2.. one for each side of the Rad. Either that or get/make a shroud.

good luck ;)

Most of that looks good. A couple things you might wanna consider:

- BIX is very overpriced. Do yourself a favor and get a heatercore from an autoparts store or one of DTek's Pro Core heatercores. You'll save yourself a lot of money, and will actually probbaly end up working better. (The Pro Core will run you about 35 bucks for the painted one, as opposed to your 67 for BIX).

-Whatever radiator you get, make sure you get a shroud with it for your fans! This eliminates the deadspot of air in teh center of your fans, so the heat is removed more efficiently from the radiator. i.e. keeps your temps lower

-Since this is your first system, you might want to consider getting 10 ft of tubing, rather than 5. Just in case you make some mistakes. And Clearflex60 tubing is just as good as Tygon, but a decent amount cheaper, by the way.

Anyway, just a few things to think about. Other than that, looks like an awesome set up to me! And sorry, I don't know a damn thing about VGA blocks, so I couldn't tell you anything about that block.

Good luck with your setup! :)

and for gods sake dont waste your money on FluidXP

agreed....and yeah get more tubing that you need so you have room for any errors....also put the system together outside of the case and leak test for 24 hours....if its all good fit it into your case with mobo and all in place and leak test for another 24hours....if no leaks then ur good to go...

I would switch the Tygon for ClearFlex which is dam near the same. Also grab a Procore HC instead of the Bix and use Zerex super racing coolant instead of that XP stuff. I use Zerex in my loop and have zero corrosion or algea at a 15% mix with distilled water.

good stuff guys,

so the fluid xp is a no go, i was just looking for the no maintenanceness(not a word) of it but if zerex works the same then ill do that, BTW do you mean 15%water/85%zerex?

then ill get the 10' of clearflex and a different heatercore, but im still unsure about the PolarFLO block.

I would get the silverprop Fusion GPU block. Its the only GPU block that i know of that has microchannels and has good flow.

85% Distilled water 15% Zerex SRC has worked great for me. :)

Goto the science department of a nearby University/College and ask for deionized water.

I got some for free at Emory here in Atlanta. Saved 50 bucks...
