crashes...and crashes...driver issues?

lately my POS comp has been crashing. i turn it on, and all i get after the Bios screen is blackness...black..thats it. i restart, samething. but if i press F7 it would go normal and load windows. but sometimes it would have the blue screen pop out of no where after the boot stating "dump of physical memory" etc etc. im running the latest omegas on my 9600 (i switched to my old 9200 and new Cats. samething), 2600+ amd xp-m not overclock (1700mhz 170mhz fsb) 1gig of pc3200, etc etc. what could it be?
 
you might also want to consider the CMOS jumper. resetting it might help out with that black screen.

How long has it been since you did a fresh install of the OS?
Works wonders, especially when you have had several video cards installed.
 
yes i have tried the CMOS jumper dozens of times. it still doesnt work. i swapped the 9600 with the 9200 dozens of times also. but i get lucky after a million tries and the OS boots but i usually have a blue screen after then im back to square one. it got worst today, i swaped and swaped, jumped the cmos, etc etc....for over an hr and it finally worked. im running at default speeds now. and to bobyjo...i have only install one brand of card which is ATI only the 9600 and 9200. i kept the same driver...it doesnt make a difference man. its been about 8 months since a fresh install. any ideas guys? stupid black screen!!! :mad:
 
hit f8 and load in safe mode. if you cant than its not a driver problem. run 1 stock of memory and see if that helps.

do make shure you run memtest86+. any errors and either the ram is bad or incompatiable with the mobo slot
