Thank You
alex

Not to be an ass......but your decision to go from a 9700Pro to a 9800Pro was just stupid. Kinda shows your current level of computer/hardware knowledge. Even to an XT would be somewhat of a waste. Good luck Mr. Wizard.

are you a sailor or related to one?? You had 4 cuss-words in your first 5 sentences.

I say, d*mn sh*t boy, that's f*ckin' great. A little more f*ckin' practice on sh*ttin' this and f*ckin' that, an' your crack a$$ could put six d*mn words in one big f*ckin' sh*t-a$$ sentence.

Calm yourself young grasshopper, for frustration can be met without vulgarity...

remove all your drivers, setup your card as standard vga, run driver cleaner, reboot, don't let windows install your drivers (click cancel if it comes up). then install the driver version you wish to run with the card.

also, were you overclocking the 9700pro and not the 9800pro...if so, that would be your problem right there.

Kinda shows your current level of computer/hardware knowledge. what the fuck do you mean by that asshole. fuck off this is one post of mine that you have read(maby you have read others) and you come up with this shit FUCK YOU assmonger.

and thank you nst6563. i am going to try that.
oh yes my parents are sailors too. so yea i got some sea legs.

Crazy, you're last post just solidified your incompetence, and stupidy. Just thought you would like to know that.

It doesn't really sound like your gaming problems are directly related to the video card.

What temp is your processor running?
What video settings? AA? AF?
How long until this thread is locked?
Sound card?
chipset drivers?

VIOLENCE FACTOR, that was unneccesary and childish.

thecrazzyman, that was unneccesary and childish.

correct i am sorry this is just pissing me off.

i have the settings prety much off i have it set to preformance

dude read and reread about personal attacks in the forum rules and go take a sedative:rolleyes:
And as you got told before a jump from a 9700Pro to a 9800Pro is about a 4 to 5% performance increase hardly enough to say it's gonna up your fps by any great margin:rolleyes:
As for your problem check you have installed your drivers properly and you system is running ok;)

Whoopsie. I'll go buy a 9800XT for better FPS to make up for it mkay?

lmao, didn't know we had to consult with you VIOLENCE to make sure our upgrades were ok with you. who cares if he got a new video card, his life/money/computer. so just stop flaming, can't we all get along.

I see a few people who should be banned. Violence Factor has been warned before, good thing Im not admin.

I have never gotten such low frames when I had a 9700 Pro, or a 9800 Pro in BF. Do you have AA/AF on, when you didnt in the past? Did you run the Cat uninstall between the drivers? Got any 3rd party tweak programs and perhaps changed a setting that could hurt your performance?

refomat or something, if you were getting bad preformance with a 9700pro and that system than you probly needed a format.
and do some research BEFORE buying a card, if you asked around on any hardware forum, they would have said its not worth going from a 9700pro to a 9800pro.
and stop swearing so much, thats gonna get you banned man.

If you have problems with a 9700 pro, you're either running settings too high, or are just someone where the best isn't good enough for you  If you don't want that 9700, I'll be glad to take it off your hands and put it in my second box.

12 fps in BF1942?? were you playing those POS 64 person servers? Cause let me just say that Battlefields netcode mustve been written by monkeys cause i get shit for FPS in that game most of the time.

I dont think your FPS problems are stemming from graphics cards to tell you the truth.

which drivers are you using?

--uninstall old drivers completely and dont try installing drivers over the old ones. Install fresh
--turn off VPU Recover
--put settings on balanced
--post here again

I've never had a real problem in online BF. The only *real* hiccups I've had are from my shortage of RAM. Granted, the game can get laggy, but 12 FPS?

im going to try tuning off vpu recover. never tryed that. and im just going to reformat today and try and start over.

yes i am completly aware of the little to none preformance increce from a 9700pro to a 9800pro. my mother board has not worked well with other cards befor and i thought it was just the card not working well in my mobo. befor i had a 4600 that wouldent work in my computer so i traded it to a guy on the forums and when i got the new 4600 it worked perfect. so i was hopeing it was that kinda situation. now it looks like after i buy some parts for my speakers im going to be geting a new motherboard.

Thank You
