I just installed a AMD 64 X2 4400 in my comp.
After 2 restarts, the CPU was installed.

When I change the jumper free configuration to manual and change the clock speed from
the stock 200 to a new speed of 250, the default frequency decreases.

Example:
stock frequency: 2.2
after increasing speed to 300: 1.75

Here is the wierd part. If I use the built in overclocking features, like the NOS, which will increase the speed by a MAX. of 10%, the frequency will increase to 2.4.

Any ideas?

leave the nos and do some reading on how to overclock a amd cpu , the nos works like speed step but that can only work if the current and all the other things are perfect for the step , try it if you want , it wont mess things , if it hangs up you can start it again.

I figured it out. I didnt change the CPU multiplier. It was set to auto.
I changed it to 10 and everything clocked the way it should.
