According to a report from the Chinese-language Commercial Times, AMD and Intel will go head to head again next month in an all out price war with both camps cutting prices on high-end CPUs.

The sources pointed out, Intel's price cuts on July 22 will focus on high-end CPUs including its Core 2 Quad and Core 2 Duo series, while AMD will cover all its high-end and entry-level product lineups. Although AMD's July price cuts will not be as much as those in April, they will still range from 20-40%, said the paper.

Umm AMD going into a price war with....???

If this is true, it's pretty much determined when I'm building my next system! :D

i dont get how amd is doing so bad?
we used to throw our money at them. even when they were charging 350 for an amd 3800 x2 .
they used to be so great and i dont get how they are so looked down on now they are still a good company im seeing alot more amd cpus in laptops. the only thing i see wrong is ati is dragging them down a lil (im awaiting the release of the 2600xt). but why are we all turning against them right now when we mostly used to be hardcore fans (i know the answer is competition).
