CPU doesn't recocnize my HD

Just installed a new SATA 200gig WD hard drive, and when i started windows it said new hardware installed...blah blah blah. Well now its not showing up in my computer. Any thoughts?
 
You failed to initialize the drive.

Then you failed to partition the drive.

THen you failed to format the drive.

Actually, when i installed my SATA hard disk, it formatted it automatically. Go to start > Run and type "diskmgmt.msc". From there look for the hard disk you just installed. If its not there, reboot, and check the to make sure the BIOS is reading it. You may need to set the BIOS to use both SATA drives and IDE, usually the default setting in the BIOS is set for IDE only
 
You need to goto Control panel>administrative tools>computer management>storage>disk management. From there you can enable it. That is what I had to do to get my new Seagate 7200.10 visible to the OS.
