Could not connect to Work Server

Y helo thar.

I just set up FAH on my main rig, no problems.

Set it up the same way on my old laptop in the same network, and it won't connect to the work server. I can surf the net on the laptop just fine... I made all the necessary changes since it's old and the system clock gets messed up, set it up to do timeless and all that. I followed the guide on hardfolding to the T. Should I have said yes the the internet explorer settings?

How do I go back and redo it if I shoulda done the internet explorer settings?
We're on attempt #7 now...

I've got my 3.0GHz folding, this laptop is a 700MHz, and I have a complete p4 2.4 sitting here asking for it, just need a working HD and some RAM for it...

Don't set it up to do timeless WUs, I don't think they're still giving that out so give that a change a try and report back.
 
you nailed it. I just put no pref when it asked if I want units with deadlines or not... then i put ignore deadlines cause this thing is slower than shit...

ignore deadlines is actually if the clock is all messed up (jumps forward/backwards etc). If this is slow, you actually might want that on assume the clock is stable.

Box will finish a WU even thou it might have been better off to dump it since it's pask deadline
 
Well the mobo's battery is fubared. If the power goes out or if I unplug it, the time and date will be messed up.

I don't plan on unplugging it so lets hope the power doesn't go out.

You know, now that it's in the 50's outside and our windows are open, I wouldn't rule that out! :D

My main pc will definitely be seeing a nudge in the speed department soon enough :D
