What program should I be using to monitor the temps of my core?

CoreTemp reports on load are:
Core #0: 65c
Core #1: 64c
Core #2: 57c
Core #3: 58c

and Abit's uGuru on load reports:
54c.

Which is more reliable in this case? As someone said to take the temps from coretemp from 0 & 1, which means there's a 10-13 deg celcius delta between the two.

As far as I know, CoreTemp reports the actual values from the DTS (digital thermal sensor) embedded in the chip itself. uGuru only reports from a motherboard sensor near the CPU.

Hmm, good to know. Because the temps reported from uGuru are really similar to the ones in BIOS.. so I have no idea which program to trust at his point

The uGuru utility grabs its values from the same source as the BIOS does.

Notice that you access the BIOS' temperature display through the menu item called "uGuru" ;).

It's not really a matter of trust, just a matter of what kind of temperature reading you want. The DTS should be more consistent across processors, though (and will be higher, too).
