I've been looking into building an SFF slimline recently as a replacement for an old workhorse machine that just spits out too much heat, it too cobbled together, and is due to be shot.
I'm not looking for overclocking, I'm just looking for something that will run well, quiet, and cool. Don't need any fancy graphics either, just the basics to allow it to do surfing, word processing, and some Photoshop work as well.
I've been looking at the Antec Minuet 300 and it looks like the perfect solution size wise. I'm just worried that the 300 watt PSU won't be enough for the CPU and everything else.
I'm posting this because I have yet to really see any recommended systems for a Core2Duo motherboard non-overclocked in a slimline setup.
What needs to be included:
Core2Duo Processor and motherboard
1 gig of RAM (going Corsair or Kingston)
2 SATA 3gbs Hard Drives
One video card
The mobo preferably (although most have them now anyways) should have ethernet (preferably gigabit) and sound built in.
All I really need is a pointing in the right direction concerning the motherboard, the PSU needs, and where to get a half-height vid card that won't tax the PSU either if the 300 watt is sufficient.
Thanks!
