core i7 safe temp and volt

What cooler are you using? I have a noctua and am donig 3.8 @ 1.3V and my max temps are 64-71c (depends on core)

Although I just read a thread that my 24 hour stable prime95 might mean nothing. Have to run more than one stress test to reveal instablities. Gonna try it later. But this is what I got for now...

im using thermalight 120 ultra with chill factor 2 thermal paste i just install the i7 yesterday maybe it hasnt had time to settle in?
 
For a 3.4GHz OC you shouldn't have to leave 1.25v. Anything higher than 1.44v on air is too much for the i7.

No just lower your voltages or try for a higher clock. You should be able to 20x190 at those voltages with ease.
 
That temp is pretty high for such a low overclock.
You might want to reseat your HSF.

I ran mine at 3.8 on 1.325V using the stock Intel cooler and maybe had those temps???

I now have a Swiftech GTZ and run 4.0 GHz at 1.425V and see maybe 59C at full load with Orthos, with gaming I rarely see 28C.

Dam I need to water cool. Although I think my temps are pretty good for air :).
