I have been trying to overclock my e6600 for a few days now. my problem is wheni change any fsb or anything it will say it in the bios. but when i go to restart the system the clock speed is still at the default of 2400 even if i go up a few mhz. i dont think it is too high of an overclock because the system boots up fine just doesnt keep any of the overcloced settings. i cannot seem to figure it out.

My system is as follows:

E6600
asus p5b deluxe bios 614
Corsair pc25300 1gb

Thanks in advance
Robert

Sounds like it is a problem with your motherboard not keeping settings properly. Have you tried clearing the CMOS and then see what happens??
