Is the Zalman 9500 or Scythe Infinity worth the $50 it costs when I could get a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro for $23?

I love the look of the 9500, but I just can't justify $50 for something to look pretty when a HSF at half the price can perform nearly as well. Everyone that has the Infinity says its the best available HSF but i'm concerned about the height and weight of it. Everywhere that i've read says that the Freezer 7 Pro is the best bang for the buck. I plan to overclock my e6400, but I have no intentions of pushing it to the max. If the Freezer 7 Pro can get me into the 3.0-3.4 range nicely with low temps and minimal noise I would be very happy. So if guess my question is...can it? I've already spent more on my motherboard and more on my memory than i had planned, but I have no real preset cost limitations, so spending money I don't have isn't the issue, spending money I don't need to spend is the concern.

Oh, and the the Freezer 7 pro shouldn't have any problems fitting in a p5w should it? Also, i'd like to be assured the weight isn't an issue either.

Not really. They're within a few degrees better of the AC freezer. You'd be gaining about 2 maybe 3 degrees TOPS for double the price, not exactly worth it IMO.

The weight issue is fine, but I have no idea about the Pw5 compatibility.

that's what I was expecting. as for how it works with the p5w i've checked out the overclocking thread and no one uses that combo of motherboard and hsf. But on newegg there is one person that confirmed it fits on a p5w.i suppose worst case i have to sell it and buy a different one.

For what its worth, I just built a new little deal, e6300 on an ASUS p5n-SLI (I know shitty OCer) and I use the AC Freezer 7 Pro. It fit like a glove. I have a 64 Freezer Pro. I love them. Cheap, cool, look nice, and work very well.
