Anyone ever use those cans of decorative paint they sell at Home Depot/Lowes/etc where it's a can of spray base and a bottle of patina paint? It's supposed to look like weathered copper/brass/silver/etc. All the pictures of examples I see have textured objects painted, how would that work on a smooth case?

Anyone have any ideas how to paint something to look like weathered metal?

Please don't say dry brush either... every time I've tried drybrushing a model I've always ended up throwing it away.
